The Sacrament of Baptism brings us into the salvation of Jesus Christ and into the kingdom of God. Baptisms are usually celebrated during the Sunday Masses. Parents are encouraged to call the parish before the birth of their child to make an appointment for Baptism preparation.
The Sacrament of the Eucharist is the source and summit of who we are as a catholic church. Students are usually prepared for their first eucharist in the second grade. This preparation takes place in our school and our faith formation programs. If you are older this preparation takes place in the RCIA Journey of faith.
Preparing for the Sacrament of Marriage is a time for couples to contemplate the grace and mystery that accompany this sacrament. Couples wishing to prepare for marriage are asked to call the parish to make an appointment with the priest. We suggest the first appointment being made nine months before the proposed date for marriage.
The Sacrament of Reconciliation is celebrated communally two times a year: during Advent and Lent. Other opportunities for Reconciliation are Fridays at 12 pm and Saturdays from 4:30-5:00 pm, and by appointment.
In confirmation we receive the holy spirit and fully join in the mission of the Catholic Church. All 7th and 8th grade students should register for this sacrament through Christ the King parish. This sacramental program is held every other year and we will begin registration for the 2020 class in June.
Anointing of the Sick
The Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick holds the true possibility of Jesus healing the sick spiritually, physically, or emotionally. We celebrated his sacrament communally twice a year or anytime by appointment. If you or your loved one is preparing for surgery, are sick, or hospitalized, call the parish office and our pastor will come to anoint you.
